Llansabbath lanes are a pleasant walk and an enjoyable stroll around Abergavenny will show you its bustling market, castle, priory and tythe barn, the oldest in Wales.
Other walks for all levels are within 15 minutes drive, including the Monmouth and Brecon Canal, the Usk Way or the Blorenge, Sugar Loaf and Skirrid mountains. Offa's Dyke Path is within 30 minutes drive or why not enjoy the World Heritage Site, iron works or Big Pit at Blaenavon or even the Roman ruins at Caerleon.
The more challenging Brecon Beacons Four Peaks (Pen y Fan, Corn Du, Cribyn and Fan y Big) are within an hour drive, as is the beautiful Waterfall Centre at Pontneddfechan.
Three Castles Walk (White, Grosmont and Skenfrith Castles) is within half an hour drive, as is Raglan Castle, a magnificent example of more recent castle design.
